Mogwai are a Scottish post-rock band known for their vast, atmospheric soundscapes, shifting between delicate, slow-burning melodies and crushing walls of noise. Formed in Glasgow in the mid-1990s, they’ve become one of the most influential instrumental bands of their generation, with a sound that feels cinematic, brooding and beautifully intense. Support came from Forest Swords, the project of producer and composer Matthew Barnes, whose music blends electronic textures, dub, ambient and experimental sound design into something dark, spacious and deeply immersive.
