The Teskey Brothers
The Teskey Brothers brought soulful warmth and serious musicianship to a packed-out Alexandra Palace Park for the final UK stop of their Winding Way tour. With the London skyline glowing behind the stage and the evening sun dipping low, it was one of those rare outdoor gigs where everything just clicked - great sound, great crowd, and a band on absolute top form.
Led by Josh Teskey's raw, raspy vocals and a tight ensemble that included horns, organ, and rich harmonies, the band moved seamlessly between vintage soul, blues, and tender ballads. The set leaned into favourites like Crying Shame, So Caught Up, and Take My Heart, and while the crowd sang along, there were plenty of quiet, spine-tingling moments too.
Visually, the show was no-frills in the best way - simple, elegant lighting and a moody stage setup that let the music take the lead. Alexandra Palace always makes for a striking backdrop, and this one felt special: celebratory but intimate, and deeply felt.
