Lucy Spraggan
Lucy Spraggan brought an emotionally honest and beautifully stripped-back performance to the O2 Academy Oxford. Accompanied only by a keyboardist, the set felt incredibly intimate - the kind of show where every word mattered and nothing got lost in the noise. The lighting was atmospheric without being overbearing, and the simple staging let her vocals and lyrics take the lead.
With no full band behind her, Lucy held the stage entirely on her own terms - moving between acoustic guitar-led tracks and moments behind the mic where her voice and storytelling stood completely alone. Her trademark humour and down-to-earth personality came through between songs, drawing in the crowd with ease and creating a sense of real connection.
The audience responded in kind - singing, laughing, even getting emotional in places. It was the kind of performance that reminded you how powerful simplicity can be. No theatrics, no distractions. Just one artist, a guitar, a keyboard, and a room full of people hanging on every word.
